Christmas 2015

I am not trying to brag about what I got for Christmas pr show off or anything it was requested on my Pinterest that I do this blog post and I probably wouldn't of posted or written this if it wasn't requested. Rant over...

I was so lucky this Christmas and just got spoiled rotten, nobody had to go and get me anything but they did and I am so grateful. My parents bought me my main present which was a apple watch I got the sports one as I have been wanting one for ages as they are meant to be brilliant for running. I got the rose gold one which came with a lavender coloured strap but as another present I got a white strap as I said all along when I was fantasizing about having one I would like the white strap. My Mum and Dad also got me the Pandora rings which I haven't taken off yet as they now my favourite jewelry ever. I love the look of the stack able rings they do, my Mum has some and she got me two which I am so grateful for and just love so much. The Pink jacket is actually a set it came with the matching yoga pants as well however I was wearing them when I took the photo so I couldn't include them but they are so comfy its crazy.

I am such a movie person I love going to the cinema or watching a movie at home, although there's only two movies in the picture above I did get three dvds for Christmas I was just already watching one but the case was downstairs. I got Maze Runner which I love I haven't seen the second on yet but the first one is brilliant! I got Max which is all about a dog who is adorable and loyal, I had already seen the film before I got it on dvd but now I can watch it whenever I want and lastly I got Paper Towns, I love John Greens style of writing and the fault in our stars was so good even when it got turned into a movie so I really wanted to see Paper Towns.

My Nan and Pops got me so much, I cant believe it. They got me my running trainers they are particularly supportive of my running so they always offer to get me trainers or clothes for running and I love them so much. My Nan got me the Urban Decay Naked palette, I have always said my favourite palette was the original one so she remembered that and got me the eye shadow palette.

I have taken art as a GCSE so my family bought me lots of art equipment theirs so much its not all in the photo but I got new pencils and pens and books which I really love and I enjoy doing art anyway so I have already started using all the nice art stuff.

For make up I obviously got the Urban Decay naked palette but I also got A eye shadow from Kiko in the shade 18 ombre a paupieres ombretto. I love this eye shadow so much it is like a gold and brown colour and it is so gorgeous. Before Christmas I looking at all my make up and thinking  have no gold eye shadows at all and I really do love gold toned eye shadow make up looks. I also got the Tanya Burr lip gloss in lunch date. I did get the old range so just the plain black boring looking packaging but still the same shade and this is really nice on its own and paired with a lip stick I got ages ago from Kiko.

I hope you all had a brilliant Christmas and I'm sorry for taking so long to post this I wanted some time of blogging whilst I had all my family around for Christmas.

Picking the Perfect Christmas Tree

So every year we ( my family and I) always buy our Christmas tree from Broadditch Farm in Kent. As as usual we went there again this year to purchase our tree. At Broadditch farm there is a big duck pond, farm shop and barns, the farm shop is open all year round and the barns open up for special occasions like the halloween haunt fest which I went to and Christmas for trees and decorations.

As you go into the barn you can look at whatever tree you want and they have people there to help you get the trees out and look at them. They are all pre-cut down so it is no hassle to get the one you want. Then to the side of the barn they have this little extension where they sell Christmas decorations, lights and little ball balls; just all cute little festive things. I honestly would buy everything in that shop if I could.

I though I would use this blog post as and excuse to show you some of my Christmas decorations. When we got the tree home we let it drop overnight and then decorated it the next day. We've had all the ball balls for years and picked then up from a variety of places.

We also have a fake tree every year for our conservatory but because we recently got new furniture in it we have no room for the tree so I stole it and used it for my room I really love this tree as it has blue light on the end of the branches and decorated with all blue and white accessories which matches my room perfectly and it is my favourite colour.

My first Avon order

So I have never ordered from Avon before, I have always looked through the books and heard about it but I'd never placed and order. A friend has been doing it for a while but I never thought about getting anything until she had a book on her so I had a flick through and they have some really nice Christmas sparkly nail varnish, I just had to get one.

I had heard a few negative things about Avon nail varnish but I thought I would be the judge for myself, I found none of these things to be true. It was a lovely colour the same as in the bottle. It only took one coat to get a true colour. It was long lasting, it lasted me all weekend without any chipping or scratching, when it was time for it to come off it came off nicer than I thought it would because usually with glitter you have to fight it to get it to come off.

The lighter more gold colour is called titanium. I didn't actually pick this colour it just happened that the darker colour I ordered, Graphite, was on a £6.00 deal which was buy on get one free but  I had only chosen the Graphite, my friend who does Avon saw what had happened and picked out the colour for me and I'm so glad she did as it is a beautiful colour. Graphite was the original one I chose and I just love how dark and glittery it is, I don't have a nail varnish like this in my collection so that's why i picked this colour. Both colours are quite Christmas appropriate I think which I love as I am in full Christmas mood right now with the Christmas jumpers and decoration so this is just perfect.

November Favourites

I do try and do a monthly favourites every month but I just barely ever remember but this month I did, which is actually sort of good because it could help you with Christmas gift ideas. So here is what I have been loving this month.

Next Festive Spice Fragrance Candle
So this is quite christmassy (not even sure thats a word) but I was burning it and enjoying the scent all through November so it is still aloud in my favourites. It honestly smells so amazing it says it burns up to 55 hours and it literally is lasting so long. I love the Next home department and this was only £6.00 what a bargain.

Rimmel London Clear Complexion Transparent Powder
So before I start I would like to say this has been battered in my make up bag so all the writing on the lid has completely scratched off. I used to prefer Matte powders until I tried this one as it makes my skin look so much more flawless. I bought it from Boots and it was £3.99.

Quickies are a pot of 20 nail varnish remover pads. They are so good for when your travelling and don't want to take a whole bottle of nail varnish remover around with you or just feel like being lazy. They are so good for your nails they have vitamin B5 in them. I really cannot remember where I got these from.

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Waterproof Mascara
I've been really loving this mascara as it makes my lashes very long but they stay individual they don't bunch together. I really like this high street mascara you can get it from boots for £7.99. When they first made this mascara it wasn't waterproof then they remade it and added waterproof into it which made it even better. My go to mascara right now.

Grey Nail Varnish
I did mention this in a previous blog post but its all I have been wearing right now so I thought it deserved another mention. This is the Laque Ultra Shine Bourjois Paris nail varnish in grey.  It takes two for the varnish to be prefect and not chip then I wear this all weekend before I Have to take it off Monday morning. I remember buying it from Boots but I haven't got a clue what it cost.

Starbucks Flask
Where its been getting colder I have been taking my flask to school with me and to football games just everywhere and it is just so amazing. It keeps my drink hot for so long it is made so well to stay that hot. Its also quite tumblr and a Copper/Orange colour. Obviously it was from Starbucks it was £16.50. They had lots of different colours and designs.

Autumn make up

I decided this year to do a autumn make up look. I think make up is a very personal thing. I do make up with one main rule which is heavy on eyes or heavy on lips, this means if I go particularly heave and bold on either my eye make up I would go light on my lip make up less dramatic. I know some people in autumn go very dark on the lips but I much prefer to go dark and dramatic on they eyes, so here is how I achieve my autumn look. I hope you like it as much as I do. No make up \/

To start of for my foundation/base I use the max factor pan stick, I used the pointed foundation brush by real techniques. I applied a really thing layer on my skin so it is still light and not to harsh on my skin as I'm only fourteen I much prefer to keep it light as otherwise it doesn't look right on my face.

So I am not one to pretend I have perfect skin so I used the Rimmel wake me up concealer to try hide or "correct" my imperfections. I just dab a bit of the concealer under my eyes, on the red around my nose and any other areas with little blemishes or any unwanted spots. I gently buff this in using the real techniques contour brush (I am aware there is a buffing brush I just slightly prefer the contour brush).

To stop the shine on face in real life and especially in pictures I just dusted a little bit if the Miss Sporty stay matte powder I just dusted this in with a Primark brush as I think goes on really nicely, and again I am applying this really thin onto my face.

Now moving onto eyebrows, I never find eyebrow products that I love or stick with so I was very happy I bought this product. I naturally have very dark eyebrows anyway so I don't need too much on my eyebrows but I watch a lot of the YouTubers so I though I would try the Tanya burr perfect brows palette. I use the hot cocoa shade (bottom right) to fill my eyebrows and give them a tiny bit more shape and I use the shade pebble (top right) on the inner part of my eyebrows where the hair is naturally lighter. To finish off I use the highlighter fairy cake (top left) just on my brow bone.

For the actual eyes I used a new brand for me I had never heard of them until now, I used the Kiko eye shadow in the shade infinity completely across the lid and into the crease, for most if my make up looks I used multiple eye shadows but this one was bold on its own so I just added a little bit of black pencil eyeliner in my water line.

To make my eyes just a bit bolder I used my favourite the Benefit They're real mascara on my upper and lower lashes.

To finish off the look I used one of my mini 17 lip glosses.

I hope you like this autumn inspired look, I have been wearing it so much recently and though I would share it with you.

Pick your own Pumpkins

For years now I have wanted to go pumpkin picking I think it sounds so much better going and getting your pumpkins from a big field where their fresh and good rather than digging out a half decent pumpkins in the horrible box in Sainsburys where every single pumpkin is bruised or tiny. After football last Sunday a family were are really good friends with were going so my family went with them and we made it a really good day out of it, picking our own pumpkins then going to McDonald's after. The place we went to was Beluncle farm in Rochester, Kent. As we were driving there it looked so busy and packed out we thought we were only going to get tiny unwanted pumpkins but as we got closer there were still thousands of massive perfect pumpkins left in the field, plenty for the thousands of people that were there. Wheel barrows were supplied so you wouldn't find yourself struggling to carry all your pumpkins around juggling them as you try and get more, you could just shove them in the wheel barrow and be done. They were really well priced all 6 of our massive pumpkins came to £9.00 so much cheaper and better quality than the ones in somewhere like Asda. I am never going to go back to store pumpkin shopping. It was such a lovely day for it and we all had a good time all eight of us, we were pushing each other round in the wheel barrows and helping each other find our perfect pumpkin. If you live anywhere near a Pick you own Pumpkins place it is defiantly worth going.

What's in my bag

I'm not going to pretend I'm perfect most of the time my bag if full of crumbs, sweets and empty wrappers, but because I'm sure you can imagine what that looks like I'm not going to show you and embarrass myself.

So constantly switch between these two bags depending on my outfit and what bag goes best. The brown smaller is from New Look and the black bag is so old I have no idea where I got it from but I do love the way it can be carried in two ways with the across the body strap or the hand clasp.

I have the Next Cashmere perfume in my bag as its not too expensive to replace if I lose it or it bakes. It smells lovely and at first I was really cautious about putting a glass bottle in my bag but it seems that this is working really well for me. I love this for when I just need to freshen up a bit.

Well I just need my keys, kind of important.

Hair pins and bands:
I always keep these in my bag because I will sometimes have my hair down and get so annoyed with it so I need hair clips and bands so I can put it in a messy bun or ponytail and get out of my way.

Baylis and Harding Cream:
I am so bad for getting dry hands so I have this in my bag because when I'm out I can put a bit of cream on and hydrate my skin.

Well I won't be using these much anymore until next year but I always have these in my bag because I am a nightmare for forgetting them and then getting blinded by the sun so I tend to just leave them in my bag. They are only from Sainsburys but I even preferred the to Ran Bans, I love them that much!

Lip Products:
I have the Coca Cola lip smacker which I got from Claire's and the Hollywood lip gloss I picked up in superdrug they are really ideal for a little touch up.

Chewing Gum:
I have the extra chewing gum which you can pick up from most places just to freshen up my breath, I think of this as quite a essential.

I keep a few plasters in every bag because I mean it I'm the queen of blisters so these are always good to have around. You cna pick them up from boots or a pharmacy.

I keep these wipes in my bag to sort out my make up or if i have dirty hands but eating out, I got these from Tesco their skin, face and body wipes.

They came with my phone and I need them, they are bae.

I've not stopped using this purse for the three years I've had it which is really good for me, it is an Anna Smith purse and I got it online.

This hair brush is great it has a mirror and it folds away really small I bought it ages ago from Superdrug then lost it then found it again.

I have an Iphone, I need it, I can't live without it.

Caravan week

I forgot I had written this post and it was meant to go up in the summer holidays and now we are close to autumn it isn't as relevant but I really loved this place so I thought I would still show you this...

For personal reason this year myself and family were unable to go abroad to we had an England holiday in Hopton, Norfolk. I stayed in a caravan at the Haven site in Hopton, well it was lovely I only wish I could have stayed longer. My caravan was in the sea view bit of the park and I had a beautiful view of the sea the beach was just down these steps so we had direct access to the beach which was really good. Although the weather wasn't the best (aka it rained most of the days I was there and didn't stop!) my family and I made the most of it. Our caravan was perfect for our family and couldn't of been in a better location.

On the Haven site there was lots of nice places to eat. On caravan sites I often find that the food facilities aren't great but this wasn't the case it was clean and a particularly wide variety which is really nice. There was no running out of things to do there were sport classes like archery, football and tennis etc. you can hire go karts which was a lot of fun. I would recommend this park and will definitely one hundred percent be returning for another stay.

What I got for my Birthday 2015

Very quick disclaimer I'm not bragging at all about what I got some people are just interested in what I got so I thought I would share it with you.

So last Sunday was my birthday I turned 14 and I was very lucky and got lots from my family and friends...

First I was super lucky and got two pairs of converse. I already have a navy blue pair but they are battered and quite literally falling of my feet as I walk so as a little surprise my dad got me a new pair for my birthday. I really love the colour burgundy and I have been looking at these converse for ages and clearly my Mum noticed so it made me so happy unwrapping these.

So this perfume is my most favourite perfume ever! It smells so lovely and my whole family know its my favourite it was a perfect present, Thank you!

I always look at Mac lipstick and I think yeah they so expensive and knew which two shades I would like so my Nan got them for me. I received the crosswires and chatterbox and I love them so much, my favourite is crosswires.

This top from Pink I actually asked for, for my birthday I love this top I think its so cute and the K is in the pocket of the top. I love it so so so much, thank you little bro.

Now my love of YouTube it so much that I got some of the YouTuber's products and book. I got Tanya's brow palette, I never do my brows as I have dark brows that are a okay shape so I never have bothered with them until now and I'm so glad I got this as I love it to bits. I also got Tanya's Galaxy eye palette which is gorgeous and leaves me with a beautiful look. I got Zoe's book girl online and I haven't read any yet but I am looking forward to starting it however I did get Zoe's fizz bar and it was lush in my bath! I got the Sam and Nick Chapman Real Technique make up brushes which I always use now and are the best brush I have ever used!

I kind of love nearly all of the Victoria secret Pink sprays so for my birthday I received two the pink which is  wild at heart and I also got orange which is sun kissed.

Thank you to all my family and friends who got me birthday present and made my day really lovely.

Brilliant Barbecue

To meet up with everyone during the summer my family and I had a little BBQ for our friends from football as we all get on so well and known each other for years. My mum and I prepped all the food after that it got cooked on the barbecue by my dad, everyone loved the food. We made a salad containing a wide variety of a healthy goodness which was important to intemperate in the summer because that's when I get unhealthy because I'm out of routine plus general barbecue meats.

As barbecues are traditionally in the garden we took this as a great opportunity to make our garden look nicer by repainting all the fences with two coat of water proof paint which we got from B&Q. We hung some bunting around the tables on the patio area to add a splash of colour I mad this from scrap material a few years ago when I first got my sewing machine. As this barbecue so in the evening people actually need to be able to see their food so we hung pretty little fairy lights along the fence and near the tables where we are sitting these look so pretty at night and were very inexpensive from B&Q sadly I didn't get a picture (sorry bad blogger). We were so lucky for weather as it rained for days before and rained days after but luckily it was super sunny for the barbecue.

For this evening I wore a white vest top from Primark, Blue denim shorts again from Primark. Over that so make the outfit more dressy I added a beautiful kimono which I got in the sale at Asda. Then on my feet I wore my white low heel sandals which I got from New Look, I absolutely love them! For this evening look I did very minimal skin make up as in summer I much prefer to keep it light and natural. On my eyes I did a very nude look with bold eyeliner no flick and lastly on lips I used my red lip crayon which I am so obsessed with right now.

Back to school

Back to school dates are getting closer, some people are already back and all though it is the summer holidays which are made for chilling everyone still has to thing about getting all new uniform and school supplies. I just got my favorite school supplies, my shoes (I am obsessed with shoe shopping so this was easy), my bag and pencil case. I know nobody likes this time but sadly we all have to go back to school at some point :-(

I got these school shoes from Next, I found this year they didn't have such a wide variety of school/work shoes, however this wasn't a problem for me as I knew what shoes I wanted and I found them straight a away. These cost me twenty eight pounds. They are some basic black patent lace up but they are exactly what I was looking for and perfect for me.

For my school bag this year I spent a lot more money on a school bag than I ever normally would but this bag should last me a very log time and is big enough for my needs. I got this bag from Victoria Secret's Pink and it was such a hard decision of which bag to get as I loved this bag in blue and I really like the burgundy one as well in the end I chose this bag as its quite plain for school.

I love stationary and last year I had two pencil cases as I couldn't make all my pens, pencils, highlighters and all my stationary. This year I am suing the Zoella make up bag. Now before anyone comments anything, yes I know this is a make up bag but I'm using it as a pencil case as it is big, aesthetically pleasing and a perfect size. This cost me eight pounds from Superdrug and I love it a lot. All I need to do now is fill it with my pens, pencils, rulers, rubbers and everything else I need for another year at school.

I hope this helped everyone going back to school, comment when your going back to school in the comment section below.

Double chocolate cupcakes

These mouthwatering easy to make chocolate cupcakes are a easy bake in the kitchen and a big hit with my family and friends who always ask when will I be making them again. You can tweak these cupcakes in many ways to suit your fancy, whatever floats your boat. You will need:

8oz Sugar
8oz Butter
8oz self-raising flour
2oz Coco powder
3 large eggs
1 packet of chocolate drops
Icing sugar

  1. Preheat over to 160 digress Celsius
  2. Mix together the sugar, butter and eggs until it becomes a soft creamy consistency. Be sure to add the eggs in one by one to get the best result. You can mix it in a mixer or if you don't have one a wooden spoon is just fine.
  3. Then you shiv in the flour and coco powder and mix it all together but this time you must mix it with a spoon so keep the air in for your cakes to rise.
  4. Next chuck in your chocolate drops and place the mixture into cupcake cases within a baking tray.
  5. Pop into the oven for 20 minutes at 160c.
  6. Once they are cooked let them cool down for 20-15 minutes lightly sprinkle the icing sugar over the top of the cakes for a extra little touch.

And there you have it your own delicious double chocolate cupcakes.
